You may recycle your old running refrigerators & freezers through Great Lakes Energy for a rebate. Call 1-877-270-3519 to have them picked up at your door.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS
Limit of two major appliances – refrigerators and freezers must be tagged “Freon Free”.
Household rubbish, building materials (nothing over 6′), furniture, mattresses, chairs, couches, carpeting (cut to 6′ in length and tied), scrap metal, etc.
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS
Tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals i.e. paint, oil, insecticides, herbicides, flammables and explosives.
Yard waste, brush, asphalt, broken concrete. (No daily household garbage such as food scraps, etc.)
